The Impact of Healthcare Reform - 9 Years Later

Holiday Inn–Round Rock, 2370 Chisholm Trail, Round Rock, TX 78681

Registration, Networking, Lunch:  11:15 AM – 12 PM

Luncheon presentation 12:00 – 1:00 pm

Healthcare reform promised to tackle three major problems for the US Healthcare system: Affordability, Access, and Quality.  Has the legislation delivered on its promises?  What provisions have been successful and what has had unintended consequences?  How have employers been impacted and what strategies could they implement as a result?

  •      Learn the goals of the Affordable Care Act
  •      Identify where the legislation has been successful and has failed
  •      Learn about how employers have been impacted
  •      Learn strategies to put in place to counter these effects
About the Presenter:

Ian Goodman began his career in the healthcare industry 15 years ago and then joined Gallagher Benefit Services in 2014 to serve clients as a Benefits Consultant. Ian has broad healthcare experience that gives him perspective from multiple sides of the business, including benefits and population health work in multiple settings - employer, provider, hospital, carrier, and broker/consultant. He uses his industry knowledge to help clients understand what is driving their healthcare spend to create and implement a strategic plan to reach their goals. He also uses his education and experience in healthcare policy to help employers navigate through existing legislation and plan for what might happen in the future. With that knowledge he provides creative solutions that help employers recruit talent, retaining employees, and bend the cost curve.
