In this interactive session, you will participate in group discussions and exercises to develop the confidence and skills to promote yourself effectively.
During the 70 min #IamRemarkable workshop, we will:
- Share data and research regarding self-promotion and unconscious bias
- Go through the main exercise to help you articulate your achievements and practice self-promotion
- Have a discussion and share take-home exercises
Presenter: Janifer Wheeler
Janifer Wheeler is a former teacher turned entrepreneur. She’s spent over 25 years helping schools & small businesses get their shift together through process design, internal structure, education, and workplace culture.
After becoming a Certified Diversity Professional in 2020, she realized that small business owners also need DEIB strategies, support, and education, so she started The D&I Department™, an extension of The JOYFully BadAss Business Academy™ - a digital learning APP for solopreneurs, side hustlers and small business owners.
Her DEIB clients are small business owners who understand that workplace culture is essential to an organization’s success but need help making theirs the best it can be. They also know that a commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging positively impacts not only their employees but also their customers, clients, and vendors.
Implementing DEIB initiatives can be challenging, but don’t worry. Janifer created the Continuous Cultural Improvement™ model, which with help you identify areas that need attention. From there, she will help you create the process, structure, and education you need to effectively and efficiently build a workplace culture that will help you and your employees avoid burnout.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be received before the close of business on the Monday prior to the event due to final headcount needed by the venue. Please note, refunds cannot be issued after the Monday prior to the event as we pay the venue based on the number of attendees reserved.
