Keeping Employees Engaged in a Virtual World! focuses specifically how to deal with the distractions of distance work and keeping employees engaged when physical presence is no longer a factor. This includes pivoting from time-based to task-based employment.

While communication is possible from almost anywhere in the world, employees and employersneed to get on the same page for how to tie work to pay in a way that does not always translate into “office time.”

Learning Objectives

1. Realigning job descriptions and performance reviews in a virtual world

2. Keeping accountability without in office presence

3. How to become more productive in a virtual world

About the Presenter:

Steve Hammond is a passionate and engaging communicator. He has spent a majority of his adult life in front of audiences yet has a wide variety of life experiences. As an elected official of a county of 1.9M people, he had oversight over wastewater treatment, facilities, construction, and personnel.

His “I make folks unfireable!” speech and/or workshop, focusing on the characteristics of employee engagement and performance, have helped both employers and employees identify and implement the necessary qualities, helping them to be the right kind of person for the job, both before and after the hire.

In 2018 he became a published author of the book, Lessons Learned in Time Management primarily aimed at the military.
